Fiona Lumsden
B.Arch (Hons) M.Arch ARB RIBA RIAS
Fiona Lumsden is a Chartered Architect who studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow and Washington University in St Louis, Missouri.
Since qualifying as an architect, Fiona has worked within award-winning practices including Seth Stein Architects in London, Engelen Moore in Sydney, and Reiach and Hall in Edinburgh. She has worked on a range of projects at a variety of scales from house refurbishments, retail and office interiors to bespoke private houses in London, Plettenberg Bay in South Africa and an apartment block on the Gold Coast, Australia.
A desire to live and work close to the coast brought Fiona (and her family) to Gullane where she runs her own practice. She draws upon the local surroundings to produce contemporary, elegant spaces and can accommodate any budget and any scale of project, always striving to find simple solutions to often complex briefs. Fiona combines private practice with teaching (part time) at The University of Edinburgh.
Fiona is a registered architect with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), a Chartered Practice member of the Royal Incorporation of Architects Scotland (RIAS) and a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Fiona offers a full range of architectural services, tailored to meet your individual requirements and would welcome the opportunity to discuss potential ideas with you, offering an initial consultation free of charge.
